Job Responsibilities
Responsible for integrated external communication to support the business objectives of China. This includes:
Corporate Communication (40%) -- Responsible for leading, developing and executing corporate level communication programs to enhance the key external stakeholders’ understanding of key activities in China and contributions to China healthcare by leveraging media, industry forums, WeChat, and other communication channels, as appropriate. Must be forward-thinking and able to effectively portray future opportunities and prospects for growth.
Public relations (25%) -- Works collaboratively with internal and external partners, develop and oversee systematic programs that can positively enhance the company’s reputation and brand equity. Acts as a spokesperson in times of issue and crisis management.
Strategic Business Counsel (35%) – Acts as a strategic business partner and provides ongoing senior-level communication advice and counsel to business group leaders of in areas such as new product launch, disease state awareness building, and therapy awareness promotion. Reviews and prioritizes the external communication needs of business groups.
Experience and Qualifications
Experience Required:
Proven performer with at least 10 years of experience managing corporate and business communications and / or public affairs programs is preferred. The AD position requires solid knowledge and practical experience of PR function’s building and development and proven people manager skills.
Experience across a range of communication functions, i.e., corporate and business communication, crisis or issue management and public affairs. Excellent writing and messaging skills in English/Chinese.
Strong working knowledge of traditional media and new media technologies.
Experiences of working with and managing agencies and consultants, and managing budgets.
Proven track record of collaboration.
Strong partnering skills with business leaders.
