While the marketplace has generated incredible amount of value to the society, the integrity and efficiency of this critical economical infrastructure has been under constant attacks every day; such as fraudulent transactions, illegal and/or counterfeit products, computer and network intrusions.   We are facing some of the most challenging computer security, machine learning, and optimization problems. If accurately predicting/ accessing many risks associated with billions of user and computer activities in real time is not hard enough, try to devise optimal strategies and apply them also in real time to counter-act such risks while maintain good user experience. Because of the intrinsic complexity of the gigantic e-commerce system and the highly adversarial nature of the security problem (motivated by huge financial gains, behind some of these malicious activities are well financed and organized criminal enterprises); any action we take in one area could lead to new rounds of mutated malicious activities in other areas.   These challenges are fertile grounds for cutting edge Machine Learning R&D. We are seeking Senior Scientists to predict and minimize major risks involved in one of the largest e-commerce platform by making inference on massive amount of entities, multimedia content, user and computer activities - leveraging cutting edge technologies. As senior members of the team, you will lead the research, development, and (more importantly) emergence of challenge areas. There are so many opportunities in this domain that the only limits are your own creativity and drive.
任职资格：We expect candidates to have a range of skills, typically including:  • Strong background in information retrieval, data mining, statistics, and/or machine learning;  • Deep understanding of security intrusion methodologies and advanced intrusion detection models  • Strong algorithmic, design, coding, and documentation/presentation skills;  • Practical knowledge of modern programming skills (e.g. C, C++, C#, SQL, Python, R, or equivalent);  • A BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Math or EE; PhD is a plus;  • 5+ years of industrial R&D experience, prior leadership experience preferre
